Based on your readings, describe the culture that exists in the military and how this culture fosters resilience or contributes to trauma.
The rates of suicide and homelessness among veterans are extremely high. Discuss how community-level support could be instrumental in helping veterans return to civilian life.
Military sexual assault contributes to the prevalence of PTSD in many military veterans. After reviewing the video “Female Vets: A Soldier’s Story” discuss how MSA contributes to PTSD and identify interventions being made to assist these survivors.
Describe ways in which veterans’ PTSD can affect children and families. Identify at least one intervention found to be beneficial to children and families.
