Format
*Length: minimum 1,700 total word count, which is about 3 single spaced pages, considering the Introduction, Body of the Paper, and Conclusions.
*DO NOT INCLUDE Title page and Sources in the total word count.
*NOTE: On the Title page post the word count on the Written Assignment.
*DO NOT include the Title page or Sources page in the word count.
*Use Third Person Writing: the words I, me, my, we, or our are not used.
Outline for Content
*IMPORTANT: Put subheadings in bold in your paper to divide it into sections.
-Title your paper – give it a title relevant to your topic, ‘Gamification as it is Used in Marketing’ – example title. Put in the word count for this written assignment – as previously noted – on the Title page.
-Introduction
-Body of the paper: Put in subheading(s) specific to your key points, such as these three subheadings: ‘Defining Gamification,’ ‘The Key Marketing Elements of Gamification’, and ‘McDonald’s: The Original Gamifaction.’
-Conclusion
-Sources – list sources/provide links to sources used.
1) Introduction: say what you are going to cover in your paper, say what is the main idea/topic or main purpose of your paper and the key issues or points you are going to discuss regarding this topic. This is the organizing principal for your paper, make sure it is clear and specific.
2) Body: Discuss each of your key points. Make sure to have a topic sentence for each key topic covered – stating clearly what is the key point. Then make sure to give some explanation, analysis (depth of content), examples, evidence, or facts that clarifies and brings out your key points. The Body is the core of your paper.
3) Conclusion: your assessment of this topic, the impact of this issue on the marketing function and/or the consumer, where things may be going in the future, for example.
4) Sources: list at least 3 sources of information, do not cite Wikipedia as a source, need at least 2 sources that are neutral/3rd party sources that do not have a stake in any brand/topic being discussed. Make sure to provide the author, title, date, and a link to the source. Need sources that are current, where possible (<3-4 years old).
