WSU The Alzheimers Disease and Beta Amyloid Condition Analysis

For this assignment, I’d like for you to talk about beta-amyloid in Alzheimer’s diseases. What happens when the beta-amyloid goes wrong in Alzheimer’s disease. 

I want you to write a short paper (5 pages without references) describing:

1. How things normally go (again, no textbooks, but explain the normal cellular process in your own words).
2. A documented example of something going wrong (ie- a mutation in a gene causing a specific cancer)
3. What is happening on the molecular and cellular level? (ie- how does the BRCA1 mutation change the protein function? How does this change affect cell division, are cells changing shape, dying?, etc)
4. How does the thing that’s gone wrong affect the organism? (Say, does the BRCA1 mutation cause a disease progression that’s different from cancers without the mutation? Are treatment options different?)
5. Feel free to include any interesting facts (for example, any historical figures with the mutation? How did they figure it out?)
