Wilmington University Costs of Digital Journals Paper

The Final will be a 5-8 page problem-solution paper about our class topic, and should include the following four parts:

1. The Situation: What is the current situation libraries find themselves in regarding a shift to digital holdings? (Can use “Beyond the Pandemic” to help with this part.)

2. The Problem: Costs of digital journals and books, and the difficulties the OA movement is having with controlling those costs. (Can use the two OA articles.)

3. Possible solutions: What are some innovative ideas for the distribution of research and information? (Can use the Ross-Hellauer et al. article and the four articles you wrote about for your literature review.)

4. Evaluation of solutions: Building on the conclusion from your literature review, discuss what you believe to be the best idea(s) for the innovative distribution of knowledge.
