1) Give an intuitive explanation that shows how we can understand the correct answer to each of  x3 ?? x2 and (x3)2 .

2) Based on this intuition, write the general rules to follow to solve each problem if the exponents 3, 2 were replaced by n, m.

3) Produce a single statement that has exponents which requires simplification using each of these exponent rules.
