I’m working on a philosophy multi-part question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Describe in detail an ethical issue that you have previously faced and your decisions and actions. Analyze your decisions and actions, identify the ethical theory or theories that were at work in your decision-making (e.g., ethical egoist, subjective or cultural relativism, deontological, teleological, virtue, etc.), and explain your rationale as to why you thought it was the right decision and action at that moment. Afterwards, investigate the issue again through a triperspectival lens. What relevant norms can you identify? How did the situation dictate the relevancy of the norms or their hierarchy (e.g., law of saving a life is higher than the law of telling the truth)? What consequences would arise from choosing certain moral principles? What character virtues should have been present in your decision-making? Did the triperspectival lens help clarify the issue and decision? Why or why not?
