How would you achieve organizational change? Apply the readings and the discussion about improving institutions through awareness of mission, governance, stakeholder needs, and data analysis to identify what is needed to direct change at your own institution.

Suppose the institution you examined last week is facing budget cuts. The President has asked you as a new campus leader to organize a task force to streamline operations by flattening the current institutional hierarchy, making it more horizontal and collaborative with shared governance.

Write about what you might do to respond to this request:

• Which stakeholders should be involved on this task force?
• What data do you need to analyze before making recommendations?
• Which stakeholders do you think would make what recommendations?
• Who would make decisions regarding these recommendations?
