Video Games Worksheet

You should pick something that interests you (hobby, work, school, personal, sports, entertainment, books, movies….) and develop a web site. Below are the minimum specifications:

Your site should contain a minimum 2 web pages. 10% of the grade

Index page which is your main page. You should have links to your other pages on the index page. 10% of the grade

The other pages can be of your choosing in terms of organization. For example, let’s say I built my site about biking (bicycle, not motorcycle…. Real women and men pedal on their own! J ) I would have my main index page, with some information on cycling in general along with some pics. My other pages might be: Road Cycling, Mountain Biking, Cyclocross, and perhaps a page on professional races (Tour De France, Giro de Italia). Just as an example mind you.

All of your pages should have a combination of text and at least 2 pictures (or gifs) per page. 15% of the grade

All of your pages should have a footer with your contact info (email, copyright, & phone) 10 %

All of your pages should conform to a common color scheme. In other words, much like your case study, the color scheme is consistent amongst all of the pages. Your color scheme can be anything you like, but the contrast between text and background should be designed so that the text is easy to read. 15% of the grade

Correct spelling and good grammar is a must on all pages! Consistent information as well (footer should be exactly the same on all of your pages for example). 15% of the grade

Any page should be able to link to any other page of your site, so your navigation area should be consistent on all pages. 10% of the grade

One design criteria I want you to follow is to use an external style sheet .css and have all of your pages refer to this. 15% of the grade

You can use copyrighted pictures for this assignment because we will NOT be posting this publicly on any web server. You can also use pictures you take yourself instead if you wish.

You will turn in to me at a minimum the following:

All web pages

The .css file

Any picture files and/or gif files necessary for your project.
