Hello everyone,
In this assignment you will be asked to demonstrate that you understand how conflict theories could be applied to a community concept. You do not have to apply a specific theory. However, I do want you to address how the three (3) analytical perspectives (i.e. Consensus, Pluralist, and Conflict) would apply to this issue. Overall, I want you to use the broader concepts presented by social conflict theories more generally. How can you explain behavior using the principles presented as a whole.
For this example, we are using the current immigration policy debate as the discussion point. I have provided four articles for you if you do not have any background knowledge of the subject. If you do not have background knowledge, it is possible that you will have to do additional reading. In demonstrating understanding, please make sure that you have the knowledge you need to explain your thoughts. The article links are below:
