How can you ensure that constitutional rights are upheld within your society?

1)One example of constitutional rights is Freedom of religion. The first amendment protects that right. There are many things we can do as individuals to protect the freedom of religion, one way is to become a part of the political process. Participate in local, state, and national elections by voting. Support candidates who recognize the proper role of religion in society and the importance of protecting it for all. We can also participate in the PTA in our neighborhood, Support parents’ right to guide their children’s education, and encourage extracurricular activities that promote values, such as religious clubs or Bible study sessions. Why it is so important to make sure freedom of religion is upheld by society? Because religious freedom protects the rights of all groups and individuals, and that includes the most vulnerable, whether religious or not.

2)An example of your constitutional rights would be freedom of speech. We can talk about a recent incident that happened in Grand Rapids, MI. A officer pulled a guy over for the tags not matching his car, the officer and the African American got into a tussle. The officer used his taser on the African-American and they went to the ground. The Caucasian officer then pulled out his gun and shot the African-American in the back of the head as he stood over him execution style. The people are now publicly protesting which is a form of exercising your freedom of speech rights publicly.

A way to ensure that your constitutional rights are being upheld within your society would be to utilize your voice and the freedom of speech. Looking at articles, at the way the officers treat your society, but in my opinion would be being knowledgeable and helping your society learn their constitutional rights, and spreading the word to make sure you understand your constitutional rights, have classes, discussions, study sessions publicly and being very active in your society. In my opinion there is no reason to strengthen the constitutional rights nor the criminal justice system, I think the criminal justice system is flawless. Its no the system, its the people that works inside the system that makes it a problem.
