The US population has comparably poorer health outcomes compared to other developed countries, despite paying so much more. What does a lack of diversity in the healthcare workforce have to do with this? Are there benefits to diversity? Yes/No. If yes, what steps can we take to create a more diverse workforce? If no, what steps can we take to address poor population health outcomes in the US without addressing issues of diversity in healthcare?
