Define a problem or opportunity related to the internship organization and your area of study, devise creative solutions to the problem. Your submission may describe an issue that you encountered in your internship and how it was actually solved, or it may be an unsolved problem. This paper is related to improving your critical thinking skills.

The paper must include the following sections/categories (Headers):

• Problem Statement
  Problem should be stated in terms that are actionable by the decision-maker for the analysis. A good problem definition keeps the analysis tightly structured because everything discussed after this point must be related to the problem stated in this section.
• Problem Analysis
  Problem is dissected to analyze key factors.
• Identification of Alternatives
  This is for brainstorming multiple solutions
• Recommended Course of Action
  Recommend and develop your idea of the most effective, efficient, and feasible alternative to solve the problem.

Problem Solving

• conceptual understanding of the problem
• Knowledge and Skills Base required to solve the problem
• Evaluating multiple solution paths

OR

Process Improvement (such as Six Sigma’s methodology below)

• Define the opportunity for improvement (project goal).
• Measure the performance of your existing process.
• Analyze the process to find any defects and their root causes.
• Improve the process by addressing the root causes you found.
• Control the improved process and future process performance to correct any deviations before they result in defects.
