Reflections on the Trio: Problem, Purpose, and Research Question

Write a 4–6-page paper that focuses on the following opportunities for reflection and development of the research prospectus components.

As you move forward on the dissertation journey, it is of great importance to have a clearly defined “trio”—research problem, purpose statement, and central research question. For this Individual Project (IP) assignment, you have 3 tasks to complete, as follows:

• Restate the general research interest that you provided in the U1 Discussion Board (DB) Primary Post.
• Refine your general research interest to a more specific topic and, using this topic, create a research problem, purpose statement, and central research question that are closely aligned with one another in content.
• Justify how your research topic is aligned with and appropriate to your degree field (e.g., DM, DCS) and concentration (e.g., project management, big data analytics).
