Prior to beginning work on this assignment, read Chapters 1, 2, and 3  in the text. Review the instructions below and research two additional  scholarly, peer-reviewed, or credible professional sources to support  your statements.

The health informatics field involves the collection and management  of large amounts of data that is stored and maintained in complex  database systems. There are many ways that data can be represented in a  database, including the entity-relationship model described in Chapter 2  of your text. For this assignment, you will write a paper that compares  and contrasts three database models and explains how each model is  designed and is typically used. To complete the assignment, you will  create a simple diagram of each database model you selected.

The following must be included in your paper:

• Choose three different database models and analyze how each model is structured as well as how it stores and processes data.
• Describe the most common uses for each database model you chose, explaining the key differences between each.
• Explain whether each model is best suited for use in information systems or communications systems.
• Create a simple diagram of each database model you selected.
