University of Miami Personal Leadership Manifesto Presentation

University of Miami Personal Leadership Manifesto Presentation

Description

Leadership Final Project

The final project is a personal leadership manifesto.

A manifesto is a declaration of your intentions about a significant area of life, in this case, it will be about you as a leader. You may think of it as a mission statement with a specific plan for yourself.

Here is what you will submit:

1. A presentation outline (a proper speech outline); and

2. An audio-recorded slide presentation exported to a video link, which can upload to YouTube and then copy and paste the link on your presentation outline. Alternatively, you can upload your audio-recorded slide presentation to Canvas as a media file. Yet another alternative is to simply open Zoom, record your presentation there while using the “Share Screen” feature to show your slides during the presentation. Zoom will email you a link of your recording, which you can post with your outline in the Canvas submission box.

Step-by-Step Process

Complete questionnaires at the end of book chapters.

Analyze your leadership attributes according to each of the book chapters and questionnaires.

Do research on leadership as it pertains to you and your goals; see research requirements section below. Your manifesto will depend on what your leadership attributes are and what you will need to develop through more specific and structured training (example: enrolling in a specific training program, professional development, graduate degree program, etc.)

Create a manifesto. Number your manifesto items. Include 3-5 sentences for each manifesto item. There are online examples of manifestos. Here are a couple of examples: https://sites.uci.edu/chpleaders/2012/04/12/leader…
