University of Illinois at Chicago Google Jamboard Concept Maping Essay

For this assignment, you will choose ‘one’ of the two main intercultural communication concepts that you will be explicating in your final paper. (1) First, using Google Jamboard (only one page/slide), you will create a visual ‘concept-map’ to show how the concept connects to the film and human or identity movement process you have selected to analyze in the paper. (2) Second, you will share the link, show the Jamboard to all of us, and do a short 5-Minute presentation in class or via Zoom, to explain your thinking. 

What is Google Jamboard?  

Jamboard is a tool from Google that lets students and instructors share ideas and work collaboratively. It is free to use and free to access – all you need to do is access Google Jamboard via https://jamboard.google.com/ and sign in with your Google ID and password. If you don’t have a Google account (Gmail/Drive/Docs/Slides, please create one – it just takes a few minutes, and then you can access and use Google Jamboard.

Create new google account without a name on it.

Jamboard is easy and fun to use – it has a whiteboard space where you can draw, add sticky notes, upload a background image, import other images from the desktop, Google Drive or, from external online sources, or you can even add Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.  The Jams can also have many pages (like slides) – but you only need one for this activity. The Jamboards you create will be stored in your Google Drive.
