University of Illinois at Chicago Data Human Assemblage Discussion
Description
For this week’s discussion, we will revisit the concepts of Week 3 and the data-human assemblage. Profiling is often considered a reflection of the individual from whom data is collected. How do profiles and profiling mechanisms relate to data-human assemblages? If we consider an individual and their data to be one and the same, what do data profiles, which are often incomplete and inaccurate, actually reflect? What challenges arise in accepting a profile as an individual?
