UCLA Humanities Intersectionality Presentation

Here’s what I’m asking you to do: 

imagine that you have been invited to an area high school to give a TED Talk or slide presentation, OR that you have been asked to create a 60-second TikTok for high school students. Your topic is intersectionality: what it is and why it’s important for feminism and gender studies.

create a creative 60-second TikTok OR a short, engaging TED Talk (2 to 3 minute video) OR a short, artistic slide deck (5 to 7 slides on Google Slides or Prezi) for these high schoolers in which you: 

• define intersectionality and offer one or two examples

explain how intersectionality can help us to understand the spectrums of gender, sexuality, and/or gender identity
