Description
After General Grant is given command of all Union forces he is ordered to Washington to meet with the President and other officials. This is a great story and shows Grant’s character. After Sherman warns Grant not to go with the Army of the Potomac, but to stay in the West, Grant decides to go with the Army of the Potomac and still direct all forces from there.
