I’m working on a business question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

1. Assume you are working for First City Bank. When calls come in, they go directly to your phone; there is no receptionist. How should you answer each call?

2. Assume you are an employee in the registration office of a local career school. All calls are first answered by a receptionist and then transferred to your desk. How should you answer each call?

3. When your boss is not available, you answer her phone. What should you say when she is in a meeting? What should you say when she is on a coffee break?

4. When is an investment profitable? How do profitable and unprofitable investments influence the wealth of nations?

5. What is the interest rate? How is the nominal interest rate influenced by the inflation rate and the riskiness of a loan?
