Sending a small example of a genome project: Family GenomeThe genome is that of an African American family with a history of hypertension. The grandmother suffered a heart attack. The grandson Patrick inherited the hypertension genes and is a carrier. Nancy was also diagnosed with high blood pressure while their son Jackson is hypertensive. The genome data demonstrates that hypertension health issue usually runs in families. In this regard, the family members can pass hypertension traits from one generation to the next through heredity (CDC, 2020). The genes, also alongside lifestyle choices, increase the risk even higher. Besides, this family history with the condition also provides a perfect opportunity for assessing and understanding the risk of hypertension besides prevention measures (Mayo Clinic, 2021). A family with access to such information can plan on effective intervention measures. Therefore, family history is a crucial factor to consider in the management of hypertension.
