SEU Developing Terminology in Mobile Application Localization Paper
Description
“A project plan contains … all the information related to the terminology project definition and organization. Finalizing a well-devised project plan helps get consensus from stakeholders and is the key to obtaining the go-ahead from the decision-makers” (Cerrella Bauer 2009, 2017, p. 327). Terminology project planning involves two aspects: strategic aspects and operational aspects. For this CT assignment,
Discuss notions of strategic aspects and operational aspects in terminology projects and highlight their importance for the terminology project.

Target groups
Project deliverables (e.g. multilingual glossaries, list of terms extracted from existing linguistic assets, terminology database, etc.)
- Operational aspects
- Project team size (e.g. one-person or multi-person team with a terminology project manager and terminologists, etc.);
- Project team composition (e.g. project sponsor, programmers, external consultants, subject matter experts to involve);
- Use of in-house skills (when available) or partial outsourcing;
- Role profiles (e.g. requirements as to technical skills, experience, motivation, etc.)
and accountabilities;
