Select one piece of artwork and make a connection with it.
Description
1) Select one piece of artwork that you greatly enjoy. Remember that ANYTHING can be considered art: painting, poem, song, architecture, music composition, statues, cities, a color, a table, a speech, etc. The list is endless. Think of something you were experienced to that you still appreciate today. Choose something that connects deeply with you.
2) Explain your connection to the artwork. Out of millions of possibilities, why did you choose this piece? What story is behind your selection?
3) Ask deep questions about the piece: who created it? Why? Are there other works like it? What themes are present? etc. Be curious, in other words.
4) Here comes the research portion of your assignment. Find and incorporate at least TWO IN-TEXT CITATIONS (paraphrase or quote) and create a WORKS CITED and IMAGE(s) CITED LIST. Conduct research to answer the queries you posed in question 3.
Cross-reference your sources across multiple works during your research and use The “CRAPP” Test to assess whether these sources could be effectively used in an academic research essay.
5) Embed an image that represents your artwork somewhere in your journal entry. Include an image caption as well.
