Semester Project: The Ecological Approach to Community Health Promotion

Project Paper Overview:

1. The assignment is designed to allow you to review and reflect on the conceptual framework for our course. You will combine reading, research, and reflection to explore a health topic of interest to you from a social ecological perspective. The 5-7 page paper will explore a community health issue and promising community health promotion strategies across the Spectrum of Prevention.
2. You can choose any public health issue for the focus of this assignment. The topics can range from public health chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease and cancer to environmental issues such as climate change, air pollution and ozone depletion or on social public health issues such as poverty, gun violence and incarceration.
