Description
Biopsychosocial and Care Plan Paper
Background: A biopsychosocial assessment is a term used to describe the client’s story, taking into account personal, psychological, and social factors that may have some bearing on the client’s current life situation. It functions as a prerequisite to any intervention effort, and social workers are uniquely trained in completing them. The client’s situation must be thoroughly understood, their eligibility for service determined, and their capacities for change assessed. This biopsychosocial assessment and service/treatment plan will be completed on a client system (individual, couple, or family) from the following choices:
1) A client or family with whom you have worked with in your role as a social worker/case worker
2) A friend or acquaintance who is willing to be interviewed and assessed
3) A co-worker or classmate who is willing to be interviewed and assessed
