Purdue University Northwest Difficulties Faced by Dr John Snow and Dr Reynard Piarroux Paper

Description

Write a five- to six-page rhetorical analysis paper comparing and/or contrasting the difficulties faced by Dr. John Snow in London of the Nineteenth Century and Dr. Reynard Piarroux in Haiti of the Twenty-First Century in convincing others, particularly those in power, of the true sources of the cholera epidemic each studied in his respective time as chronicled by Deirdre Mask in Chapter Two (“Haiti: Could Street Addresses Stop an Epidemic?”) of her nonfiction work The Address Book. After reading and understanding the chapter thoroughly, consider what points or observations you can make about both men’s experiences and how these experiences parallel each other, and choose the best point or observation for your thesis statement, supporting it in the body with a paragraph summarizing the chapter followed by a series of paragraphs following either subject-by-subject or point-by-point arrangement, whichever works best in presenting your support for your thesis. The entire paper should be written in third person outside of direct quotations when absolutely necessary.
