Post University Progression of Painting Question

I’m working on a art discussion question and need support to help me learn.

As we have seen throughout the past three Units, the progression of painting evolved over three centuries in Italy and throughout Europe during societal changes in politics, religion, and the economy. For this discussion, choose two paintings to compare and contrast.

• Paragraph 1: Choose a painting from either Unit 1 or Unit 2. Provide a brief analysis of your choice, including a discussion of subject matter, painterly style, and how this piece represents an earlier artistic style.
• Paragraph 2: Choose a painting from Unit 3. Compare your selection to your first selection by comparing subject matter, painterly style, and its representation of Mannerism or the Reformation.
