Introduction

Discussion forums allow students the opportunity to analyze and discuss project management topics with classmates and the instructor. They are an opportunity for sharing insights and experiences within project management and are relative to the readings, other weekly course material, and the Unit Learning Outcomes. Please review the Learning Outcomes and the Directions prior to posting your response to the discussion prompt below.

Unit Learning Outcomes

• Examine the importance of time management within project management.
• Assemble project teams to understand the importance of team collaboration.
• Examine the various key aspects of time management.
• Analyze the baseline project within this course.

Directions

There are many components to time management in project management. After reviewing the material for this week, select a topic from the time management chapter (Chapter 6 of Mulcahy’s book) and create a 2-4-minute video on the topic of the importance of time management. Be sure to note the key concepts within the topic and explain why the topic is important.

In addition to discussing your topic, identify a relevant source over your topic and cite the source in your video. By finding a referenced source, you are enhancing the learning experience by searching for another source of information on the topic. Please ensure you are using a source that is peer reviewed to ensure accuracy of information (select peer-reviewed journal articles in the Park Library). Use APA formatting when providing citations.

Your video presentation should be in the format of an executive summary (must contain verbiage and bullet points to name the key points). Note that you should create the video with closed captioning enabled (by using a YouTube account) and post the YouTube link to the discussion post. After the videos are posted, actively engage in a discussion with at least three of your peers.
