Windshield Survey Guidelines. Complete this activity in your community. This assignment is a scientific method utilized to gather information about a community. You must travel throughout your selected community and gather data you can see, hear, and smell. Data collected in the windshield assessment is objective, be careful not to be subjective. Data is collected by observing while driving through your community. Objective data can include statement from talking with people and example; what a person waiting on a bus has to say about public transportation in the community. Page 86-89 of the text explain the windshield assessment and the details that should be included.  (primary data collection) (Chapter 4 Objectives 1 to 9)
