NYU Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Research Paper
Description
For this week you will be working on drafting your final essay. I am not expecting you to be anywhere near done with the essay, and these two posts are aimed at simply getting your mind working towards a structure for essay 3.
In your first post I want you to write a full-sentence draft outline for essay 3. Your outline should present your plan for the order of information in essay 3 and present the points you’ll make using full sentences. Note: I don’t mind if you use roman numerals, numbers, letters, or just bullet points. The format doesn’t matter to me as long as I can see the order of points you plan to make and you use complete sentences.
In your second post I want you to write the first paragraph of your final essay, which should draw the reader in while also giving an overview of the entire argument, but without specifics. Your opening paragraph should give an idea of the problems you will address in your argument, while your closing paragraph should use specifics to sum up the solutions and conclusions you’ve drawn about those arguments. Neither the outline nor the opening paragraph are set in stone, and you can change them after this week. This exercise is designed to get your mind working on your draft, not create a finished essay.
