This week, you’ve studied the fundamentals behind different learning styles. You also focused on how learning styles influence the adult learner, enhance the learning environment, and support the retention of information. This section also reviewed three common learning styles and what each learning dynamic includes, along with examples.
From your newly found knowledge, your assignment this week involves creating an onboarding program based on a specific learning style. Choose one out of the three learning styles: visual, audio, and kinesthetic.
Once you have chosen a learning style, as a senior HR consultant, you will design an onboarding program to meet the learning needs of that particular style best. Your audience would include a group of 90 adult learners, and you will host an onboarding program that extends to 8 hours of first-day, on-the-job education. You will select topics for the program and decide how to engage adult learners, sustain their attention, and deliver information in the identified learning style.
