    • Identify a career path in Health and Human Performance that you are most interested in at this point in your education. Specifically, what is your background in this career-path and what are your future goals.
    • What could you have done yourself to improve your efforts/learning during this semester for this class?

The health and physical activity in our society unit was the one where I learned the most. This chapter made me realize what kind of neighborhood I was in and how my surroundings looked. Because I am an active part of my society, I am not aware of the issues that a “outsider” would be aware of, which is why I was unable to identify a problem within my society. However, this is far from the case; a closer examination reveals that, despite the abundance of accessible resources in my town, there is still a decline in general health.

I would like to pursue a career path in the medical field, specifically I would like to hopefully one day become a plastic surgeon and open my own clinic. I have always wanted to become a surgeon for as long as I can remember but I have switched from different specialties but what made me want to become a plastic surgeon is the fact that I get to make people feel good about themselves and I also don’t have that many dying patients because I couldn’t live a life where people die on my table on the daily. Also, plastic surgeons do make lots of money and they get to set their hours and it’s not a on call 24/7 type of job. I don’t want to be working all day and miss out on great times with my family because family means everything to me.
