This week you are to read chapters 13-15 in your textbook. 

The information on the research paper is listed below. It is important that you tell me the topic of your research paper before you begin to write it. I will say that I prefer that you choose a work of art that is NOT in your textbook. There are so many other pieces to choose from, so do a little work to look at other pieces by the artist you choose. (please let me know the topic you want to write about very soon so I can get approval from my professor first). Pay attention to the due date for the paper. It is due Monday 3/28. A picture of the object you are writing about should be on the cover of the paper. Include your bibliography at the end of the paper. The text of the paper should be 10 pages or more. What is very important is that you spell check and grammar check your paper before you turn it in. Anyone who does not include their citations in the paper will have it returned ungraded.

Break down your paper in the following manner..

1) a description of the object, complete, 2) a biography of the artist or culture that made the object, 3) your summation about the object’s impact on the artist who made it or impact on later art movements.
