So far in this class, we have talked a lot about the topic of gender in the Americas. We have discussed the representation of women during the Conquest, 19th. Century (Turner), and 20thC. (Campobello).
This week we have another reading that deals with the theme of gender in the Americas. For this week’s forum, you need to write about the representation of women in the novel Aura. In your post, answer the following questions: 1) How are women portrayed by Fuentes? 2) Then, compare this image of women with other reading that we have done in class. How different or similar are those representations?
