Description
School-Age Lesson Activity: You will create an engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plan for a school-aged child (6-12) in an afterschool program. The lesson should focus on enrichment activities such as music, art, physical education, etc. Due November 27th. (You will have until 11/28 to submit with no penalty)
*Feel free to use one of your ideas from your Developing a Literature Web, if you’d like. I also recommend considering having your activity take place in an outdoor environment.

In case you are unfamiliar with writing a lesson plan or need a review, here are video instructions (keep in mind this template is slightly different at the beginning because it is for CD 07/08. but the body of the template is very similar, so I’ve cued up this instructional video to start where I talk about behavioral/learning objectives).
One important part of a lesson plan is developing accommodations for diverse learners and children with exceptionalities.
Please refer to the resources below to help you with the part on the lesson plan where you need to think of accommodations for two exceptionalities.
For example, if you have an activity where children are required to run, how will you accommodate a child who uses a wheelchair (like my son, Coco)? What accommodations might you make if you have an activity where children are going to make slime, but you have a child with sensory issues who can’t touch slime?
