One point that we must understand is that communication skills are learned, as we grow, we begin to think and have a grasp of the topic. Critical thinking is important as it does allow us to have different skills on how to approach problems and solve them. It’s not just communicating, but mindfulness and how creative we are. The text further emphasized that those that are critical thinkers adopt a collaborative stance. In other words, they can work in a team, as a unit, and bring forth ideas that will benefit the group and the task that is being presented.

Those who can develop critical thinking skills are able to solve a varied of problems as they are able to think outside of the box. According to the book, with experience we learn how to think in critical ways that may us question and think about the possible choices. It has also been noted that depression will decrease the way we think. The brain is covered in clouds and sorrow that the mind is not able to think clearly. Thus, it is important to take time to relax our minds and have a mind break if we begin to feel overwhelmed.

Critical Thinking in its full potential can be the strongest form of thinking, as it can help find creative ways to solve problems or possible problems that may happen even though the possibilities are low. For instance, the book introduces the Tokyo Electric Power Company and how they failed to put further procedure to prevent disasters with their nuclear powerplant. It is important that when we begin to think empirically, using the methods of doubt, and belief, can help find ways that will solve issues but not impact our judgements based on what we believe or have a bias towards.
