Getting Started

In previous workshops, you completed a Project Charter, Process  Current State, Process Improvement Opportunities, and Future State.  Now  it is time to describe the Sustainability Action Plan for your  process.  The individual Process Improvement Project (PIP) provides the  opportunity to gain experience with a quality-improvement project.

Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:

Identify actions promoting project sustainability.

Evaluate an organization’s current situation and formulate an appropriate strategy in response to organizational challenges.

Background Information

Leaders are more effective when they help employees understand why  external and internal standards are important to the organization and  offer training so that employees understand how to apply the standards  in their daily work.

  • Instructions

Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.

  • Review the information from Workshop Five, 5.2 and 5.3 Discussion  forums, to remember what you have learned about external and internal  standards, especially those related to sustainability.

Review the Work Process Explanation and Project Requirements document and the PIP Example file.

Answer all blank areas of the PIP PowerPoint template for the  Sustainability Action Plan slide. Do not add or delete any slides in the  template. Let your instructor know if you have questions about this  assignment.
