In previous workshops, you completed a Project Charter, Process Current State, and Process Improvement Opportunities. Now it is time to describe the Future State and Future State Analysis for your process. The individual Process Improvement Project (PIP) provides the opportunity to gain experience with a quality-improvement project.
Upon successful completion of this assignment, you will be able to:
Identify process improvement opportunities.
Evaluate an organization’s current situation and formulate an appropriate strategy in response to organizational challenges.

Background Information
Leaders are more effective when they move beyond the current state and articulate a future-state vision. In essence, these types of leaders are able to move beyond “what they don’t like” and recommend “what they do want.”

- Review the information from the Workshop Three, 3.2 Discussion forum, about quality planning in which you discussed how to apply the techniques to your PIP.
