Getting Started

The Virtuous Business Model talks about virtuous leadership. Jesus
gave instructions to his disciples in the first few chapters of the book
of Acts: He told them to go out a make more disciples. This command was
called The Great Commission. This would be their mission for the
remainder of their lives. Jesus was going to be gone and was sending the
Holy Spirit to baptize the disciples in order to prepare them for their
mission.

He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the
Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the
Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (English Standard Version, 2011/2016, Acts 1:7-8)

Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:

• Apply the Virtuous Business Model to information technology service management operations.
• Utilize knowledge of contracts within the function of information technology management in business.

3. Based on the scripture above, what you know about the VBM, and your spiritual worldview, answer the following questions:
   1. How does a leader prepare people who work at a company to accomplish
      the company mission, and insist on virtuous leadership from them?
   2. How do you think a virtuous IT leader should pick which services to provide to customers?
4. In addition to preparing your main response to the devotional
   question, reply to two other posts in the class made by fellow students.
   Your replies should be a minimum of 100 words.
