User #1: Tonya, 4’8” tall, age 25 (Tonya walks with a limp)
User #2: Tom, 5’9” age 90 (Tom has arthritis in both hands)
User #3: Ted, 6’9” tall, age 42 (Ted is farsighted – he can see distant objects clearly, but objects nearby may be blurry)
You will evaluate the persona that you select in terms of their experience using the following 3 appliances in your kitchen:

- Your refrigerator
- An appliance of your choosing in your home
Activities that could normally take place while using these 3 appliances. Analyze them from start to finish:
Entering the kitchen
Setting up the appliance
- Using the appliance
- Cleaning the appliance
- etc.
Environment and how it influences your Persona’s use of the appliances. For example:
The impact of lighting (when glare might be a problem)
The layout of the kitchen
etc.
- So, given:
- Your Persona and their physical and cognitive characteristics
- The possible environmental conditions of your kitchen
- The activities that your users will be engaged in
- Your job is to provide a thorough analysis of HOW the design of the 3 appliances impacted your Persona’s ability to use each. Provide photographs to illustrate your points.
