Think of a well-known company that you respect and locate their corporate blog, or search online for “best corporate blogs” for one that interests you. Avoid reading any analyses of blogs, however, as you will do your own analysis of the blog you choose.
In a document, provide a link to the blog you have chosen. Then, write a paragraph discussing its overall effectiveness. Does the blog do everything an external company blog should do, including (1) facilitate customer feedback on products and services, (2) enhance marketing and public relations, (3) help personalize the company in the eyes of customers and consumers, and (4) allow customers to provide ideas and feedback? In analyzing the blog, discuss also the overall design and the individual features offered, such as a menu, tabs to specific pages, a search engine, an RSS feed, articles with options to comment, an archive of previous articles, visuals, audio and video, contact information, and so on.
