1-A website that comes to mind when thinking in this context is the website for various social media platforms including Instagram. Instagram is most certainly created for the mobile phone, and when I tried to open it on my computer screen I was completely disoriented. Although it is still displayed in a more vertical layout than a horizontal one, the platform looks very different. Moreover, sending direct messages, sharing posts, and even liking and commenting can feel very different-almost difficult because of how different it is from the mobile phone application. In order to make it easier to navigate the website should probably be more user-friendly and provide some sort of aids for first-time users of the desktop version in order to facilitate them.

2-Social media has a lot of influence on today’s generation. Whether it be Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok what have you, we use them for entertainment or communication purposes. Most of them have both mobile and web versions even online banking has both. However, Instagram still does not have a web version and so does Tiktok. I checked it and it looks like the interface is made for a smaller screen just like instagram. There are also some websites that I encountered that do not have web versions, which is sometimes convenient to use. The menu buttons are all over the place. My friend has a small business, he was showing us the website he is creating the last time we saw him and from what I can remember he also mentioned that you are able to change the website versions (web, phone etc.) on the settings. So, I guess some of those websites can change their settings so it can be more user-friendly to those who are using either a phone, tablet or computer.

3-When considering this topic, one website that comes to mind is the website for numerous social media networks, such as Instagram and YouTube. Instagram is used for a phone so one time I tried opening it on the computer, it was weird and felt different even though it was the same information and everything. It is still displayed in a vertical rather than horizontal style. Furthermore, due of how different it is from the mobile phone application, sending direct messages, sharing content, and even liking and commenting might feel quite different. Also, YouTube is a little related to this because if you open it on safari, it doesn’t let you adjust with the screen and you have to download the app itself and log in otherwise, it’ll give you hard time staying on it.
