Grossmont College Pandemic Exposure Discussion

The pandemic changed our exposure to language and how we use it. What language impacts did you notice? Was it babies straining to look at you? Was it the new words you added to your vocabulary? Or was it how you adapted to understand people around you? Were there consistent mistakes you made in conversations when you couldn’t see someone’s face ( E.g., mistaking phonemes)? Do you feel you are more or less patient now when trying to communicate? Please incorporate one or more concepts learned during this week’s lectures in your reflection.
