1. Review the Attractions and Entertainment Sampler in Chapter 9 (table 9.1). Select three attractions (one for each of the categories listed) in your hometown. Then, for each attraction, share:
– one aspect you believe is a strength of the attraction
– one aspect that the attraction can most improve upon
2. Choose a virtual tour, from any of the 75 museums featured in this article. Describe the tour experience from your virtual visitor perspective, and detail:
– two things you liked most about the tour
– two things that you would suggest improving or adding to the tour
3. Review special interest travel based on attractions and activities in this 31 Niche Tourism Groups article.
– Which niche tourism group most interests you personally, from a visitor perspective? Why?
– If you were a Destination DC executive, promoting tourism to Washington DC, which niche tourism group would you focus on? Why? And what DC-specific attractions/itinerary would you suggest to help develop this nice tourism market?
