GC Paint an Enso
Description
- Read this Blog Post on How to Draw the Enso (Links to an external site.), the Zen Circle, by Janine Ibbotson.
- If you have watercolors and a brush, use them to paint an enso per the general instructions she gives.
- If you don’t have paints, don’t stress: make some “ink” using instant coffee and a little water or a tea bag and a little water. Get creative — I once used grape jelly and a little water to make a paint. If you don’t have a brush, use your toothbrush! Make one from leaves or try using a cotton ball.
- Paint an enso and then, paint a few more if you like.
- You don’t need special paper…though watercolor paper works great. You could use junk mail, a paper towel, or a brown paper bag. Don’t let a perceived lack of resources permit you from completing the assignment.
- Write my name, date, and course (Art 100-3692) in the upper right corner of the page. Take a photo with all four sides showing and upload it as your assignment.
