For this discussion board post, reread the Heart Sutra from the primary texts page. Using your own words, explain how you understand the message of the text and what you think emptiness means. Again, it is important that you use your own words. It does not help you to simply repeat what someone else has written. Do not repeat the mistake of the novice monk mentioned in the text’s commentary. The goal of this discussion board is to analyze the meaning of a difficult concept within Buddhism, illustrating how very different the Buddhist worldview is in contrast to the kind you may be familiar with.
