Florida Atlantic University Chapter 11 Miranda Rights and Police Officer Questions
Question Description
I’m working on a english writing question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
1. What if you were discussing an issue with a police officer and the conversation turned to a recent local burglary in which you took part – you decide to tell the officer everything you know and did. Would this be considered an admission or a confession?
2. What if somebody asked you about the basics of the Miranda – how would you explain it to someone outside of criminal justice?
3. An officer is conducting a lawful stop & frisk (adequately justified by reasonable suspicion) and the suspect is talking. Does the officer need to advise the suspect of her Miranda rights?
