FAU Nursing Practice Discussion Response

FAU Nursing Practice Discussion Response

Description

“Those people who develop the ability to continuously acquire new and better forms of knowledge that they can apply to their work and their lives will be the movers and shakers in our society for the indefinite future”. Brian Tracy

Hello everyone, this quote above by Brian Tracy a Canadian-American public speaker and author is my aesthetic representation of nursing. I was able to see in this quote the lifelong learning process nurses have to go through. That alone is what makes nurses amazing. Not everyone joins this profession for the same reason, but when we take time to analyze Mr. Tracy’s quote, we can attribute what he said to our profession. We as nursing students are already in the process of learning to prepare us for the workforce in the next few months. We also have clinicals which give us an understanding and the possibility to see what is it like to work in the field way before graduation. Even after graduation, we have to study and get ready for a big exam to obtain our license. It does not stop there because the moment we start working we have to renew our license to be able to practice legally. All of these are examples of how when it comes to our profession, it is a lifelong learning process.

When it comes to “being the shakers in our society” we can attribute that to the dedication the new grads and other nurses had when COVID made its appearance in the United States. There were no vaccines available, yet these hardworking people were working a lot to save others’ lives while putting theirs at risk. A new virus outbreak gave the nurses another opportunity to research and be more knowledgeable about the situation to better care for the population, themselves, and family members. There is a lot of people who have recovered from this pandemic thanks to them. To me, this is more than love and the perfect example of how one can be the movers and shakers in society while making a way for others to have a future even though there is a risk of them not being able to see that future. This quote is all about the nursing profession. If we try to break it down more we can have more than enough examples to support this quote. Every time I see this quote it will remind me that there are people in this world (nurses) who care about the population.

As nurses, we are responsible for providing care to patients. Hence, I chose this art form. They are, after all, reliant on us. As a result, I employ the five components of Florence’s nightingale theory to attain my goals rather than making excuses for my shortcomings. These factors are concerned with the environment, which aids in providing patients with holistic care. To me, the meaning of this quote is that as a nurse, I must apply my nursing education whenever I encounter a variety of adversities because it will allow me to use critical thinking to make accurate decisions that will benefit patients after taking the initiative to do what is appropriate and necessary to provide comfort to patients. (Fernando R et al.; 2021)

This task and my creative form strengthened my knowledge of nursing as care in many ways. It enables me to comprehend better-caring experiences, nurse situations, and nursed situations. The caring circumstance reminds me that in order to give holistic care, nurses must participate in co-creating moments in any setting. Creating/analyzing my aesthetic would help me respond to future nursing calls utilizing caring science ideas and my nursing education, which would allow me to employ critical thinking and environmental factors. The actions of the nurse and the nursed can be used to determine appropriate future nursing calls during the caring moments. This would aid in developing a relationship that would allow nurses to better focus on their work, which would help them provide quality care holistically. (Waraporn P, 2020)
