ENGL 10803 intro

ENGL 10803 intro

Description

1. Select six secondary sources to annotate.

2. Cite the sources in alphabetical order, using good MLA format. See Little Seagull, pp. 165-189 for more info on how to do your citations. Note: I expect you to adhere to the standards for MLA citation, including punctuating and indenting correctly. If you are adding the sources to your Sources 1-3 document, please CLEARLY indicate which ones are the “new” sources.

3. For each citation, write an annotation of 100-150 words. Your annotations should do the following:

A brief summary of the source in your own words. You may choose a quote to illustrate a specific moment in the text that you found important; if so, please use correct in-text citations at the end and make sure that you also have a couple of sentences of summary in your own words. How will this source help you interpret and understand your primary sources? It’s quite alright to realize that the source won’t be useful–just be sure to explain why.
