What is the neurotransmitter released of the neurons being mentioned by the paper? Is it an excitatory or inhibitory neurotransmitter? What kind of signaling molecule are neurotransmitters (think back to cell signaling molecules (ligands) and the different subtype of ligands)

Does the same sodium channel lead to depolarization in the different areas of the neuron and in different neurons? Does the same potassium channel lead to repolarization and depolarization in the different areas of the neuron? If different channels what are they (the subtypes covered in the reading) for both Na+ and K+.

Upload a picture of a myelinated neuron and the sodium channels as described in the sodium channel section of the reading (label soma, dendrites, axon, axon terminal, and nodes of Ranvier along with what specific Na channels are found at those areas if coverd in the paper).

Looking at Figure 2, does the AP shown resemble the AP covered for neurons in the lecture/readings (hint there are four APs shown: the top are taken from same area and the bottom two are taken from the same general area but one is proximal and the other is distal)? The dotted line represents what? What happens once an action potential threshold has been met? What is the threshold potential (aka action potential threshold) that you are taught in your book/lecture?
